In the pursuit of even-handedness, the first thing we’ll do in this article is list things that we like about dogs: They’re often cute and lovable. They are full to snuggle with and good to give a scratch to on the head, ears, or flank. Plus, almost no one will be quite as excited to see you when you return home from work as your pup. That is, if you’re a good dog owner.

Now for the un-fun part. Here’s one thing we don’t like about dogs: all the hair they shed. You can’t blame them for it; you’d be losing hair at an alarming rate, too, if your body were completely covered in it. But that doesn’t mean you have to like it around your house.
