ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KCTV) - For the first time since the Super Bowl, it’s a game week in Kansas City.

The Chiefs are set to take on the Arizona Cardinals on Saturday at 7 p.m. in Glendale, Arizona.

While the game won’t mean anything to the Chiefs’ official record, it means a lot to the guys trying to make the team.

“These guys are all competing for spots,” said Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy. “When our guys go out there – whether you are Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, or someone towards the bottom end of the roster working for a spot – it’s such an important time for these guys.”

Right now, the Chiefs have 90 players on their roster, but in three weeks, they will have to whittle that number down to 53. With only three preseason games, the coaching staff and front office know Satur
