LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) -- The Loudoun County Animal Services is inviting kids to partake in its "Scales and Tales" event.
On Aug. 13 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., children and their parents are invited to come to the shelter, located at 42225 Adoption Dr., to make a necklace pendant with snake skin.
The children are also welcome to meet some of the reptilian friends at the shelter and hear from a Humane Law Enforcement Officer about their work with reptiles and other wildlife.
Afterwards, there will be an in-shelter scavenger hunt.
