Emergency meeting called after mass shooting near Philly rec center

An emergency community meeting was held Tuesday night in response to last week’s mass shooting near Christy Recreation Center in West Philly.

A West Philadelphia community united for healing Tuesday after a shooting near Christy Rec Center left six people shot.

Residents expressed a need for things like more programming here for the youth and more cameras in the area.

Law enforcement updated residents on the investigation.

Less than a week after a shooting at Christy Rec Center injured two teens, three young children, and an employee, community members in West Philadelphia gathered for an emergency meeting to address the trauma and seek solutions.
