It looks like it’ll be a showdown between Sharn Shoker and either Andy Song or Logan Evans for Kent City Council Position No. 6.

Shoker has 32.4% (3,050 votes) to lead the seven-candidate race, according to King County Election results released Tuesday night, Aug. 5. Song is next with 18.4% (1,731 votes) followed by Evans with 16.9% (1,588 votes). Jamie Lee is fourth with 12.3% (1,155 votes).

The other candidates and their results are Tod Oyefeso, 10.7% (1,008 votes); RoseLynne P McCarter, 4.5% (419 votes); and Starre Quiñones 4.2% (398 votes).

The two candidates with the most votes on the primary ballot will advance to the Nov. 4 general election. Ballots will be counted each weekday with the election certified Aug. 19.
