SC baby shot and killed while sleeping next to his mother

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – A seven-month-old baby has died after a shooting in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Investigators say two people fired shots into the first and second floors of an apartment on Sunday. One of those bullets hit the baby in the neck while he slept next to his mother.

The Spartanburg Police Department says it’s investigating the murder to the fullest, including if it could be connected to other shootings in the area.
