A brewery and restaurant near Wrightsville Beach is set to close in the coming months. Waterman’s Brewing Company will shutter Sept. 30, 2025, at 1610 Pavilion Place in Wilmington, said Don Weber, one of the owners.

The business opened in 2017 in the former Fibber McGee's space as a celebration of the coastal lifestyle. The business has an on-site brewery, bar, dining area and outdoor patio. There’s also a private event space there.

Weber said the closure is an example of the challenges facing local breweries.
