Vancouver City Councilor Kim Harless and challenger Pooneh Gray will face off in the November general election for council position 1, according to initial election night results.
Harless was leading the race with 13,812 votes (55.50 percent); Gray received 7,335 votes (29.47 percent).
Ron Willis received 3,566 (14.33 percent) and will not move on to the general election.
Voter turnout for the primary is at 22.29 percent with 24,886 voting in the only candidate race on the ballot.
“I believe that the city of Vancouver has spoken, and they clearly want four more years of this experienced leadership,” Harless, 38, said Tuesday night.
