Voters are narrowing two Kent School Board races from three candidates to two in the Aug. 5 primary.
For director of District No. 4, Teresa Gregory leads with 41.5% (6,099 votes) followed by Carolyn Wilsie-Kendall with 32.8% (4,814 votes) and Zac Fister with 25% (3,675 votes), according to results released Tuesday, Aug. 5 by King County Elections.
Gregory was appointed earlier this year by the board to the District No. 4 seat to replace Awale Farah after he resigned.
For director of District No. 5, Laura Williams leads with 48.6% (7,183 votes) followed by Jane Smith with 31.3% (4,627 votes) and Laura Jensen with 19.4% (2,863 votes).
Tim Clark currently holds the District No. 5 position but decided not to seek reelection.
