The Dbacks 60th loss of the season proved to be a pretty painful one. On top of being the longest game of the 2025 season going 3 hours and 50 minutes, it also had all too many of the stereotypical elements of a 2025 loss. They squandered another solid start from Ryne Nelson with a bullpen meltdown, and the offense went 0-11 with RISP.

Ryne Nelson really had it working tonight as he managed to throw a season high 100 pitches going 5.2 innings allowing only 2 runs while striking out 8. Unfortunately Kyle Nelson was brought in to close out the 6th and wasn’t able to record a single out while walking 3 straight hitters. This forced one of the heros from last night in Andrew Hoffmann to get hot quickly in the bullpen and get the final out of the inning on minimal warmup pitches. I am sorry bu
