Musician Midge Ure, known for 80s bands like Thin Lizzy and Ultravox, has been forced to reschedule ‘all shows’ after ‘urgent’health issue.
The 71-year-old icon was set to perform in Europe, the US, Australia and New Zealand later this year but has scrapped performances for the rest of the year.
‘It is with great sadness and difficulty that I have to reschedule all shows planned from September onwards,’ he said in a statement.
‘During a recent routine check-up, doctors discovered a health issue that requires urgent treatment and a period of recovery.’
Midge did not specify any details of the concern but added he was ‘truly sorry for any inconvenience or disruption’ this caused.
