CLARK COUNTY, Mo. (WGEM) - Voters in Clark County approved two countywide ballot measures during the special election held Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2025. According to unofficial results, both the county sales tax proposal and a measure concerning the prosecuting attorney’s office passed by comfortable margins.
The sales tax measure received 188 “yes” votes (63.09%) and 110 “no” votes (36.91%), allowing the county to implement a local sales tax. One undervote was recorded.
A separate question related to the prosecuting attorney’s office passed by an even larger margin, with 234 votes in favor (78.52%) and 64 votes against (21.48%).
While both measures passed, voter turnout was extremely low. Just 299 ballots were cast from a pool of 4,773 registered voters — a turnout rate of only 6.26%.
