Hey, a win is a win. But this is what happens when you hold a low turnout election on a August Tuesday during the last few family vacation weeks of the year before school and sports practice pick back up.

And of course, the 20th RD is used to close elections. Last year, the Rehoboth-based district was won by Democrat Stell Parker Selby by just a 51-49 margin, even though Kamala Harris prevailed 54-45 on the same night. That makes it one of the rare districts nationally to move to the left in 2024, since Joe Biden carried it by a 53-46 spread in 2020.
