Shelby Roberts, 88, passed away peacefully on July 15 in her home in the Orlando area of Florida with family at her side. She leaves behind a daughter, Beth Cook of Simsbury, Connecticut; a son, Richard W. Roberts of Caldwell, Idaho; four loving grandchildren, Thor, Thomas, Shelby and Elliott; former daughter-in-law, Amy Roberts; and a son-in-law, Julian Cook.

A summertime resident of Sun Valley for over 20 years, Shelby loved hiking and especially the wildflowers, with the sego lily being her favorite. She also loved wildlife and was thrilled when she would spot large animals, like moose. Her favorite local hike was Proctor Mountain, which she climbed countless times.
