(NewsNation) — President Donald Trump has said the United States remains focused on providing humanitarian relief in Gaza, amid reports that Israel is considering further expanding military operations in the region.
On Tuesday, Trump was questioned whether he would support Israel reoccupying all of Gaza.
“We are there now, trying to get people fed. As you know, $60 million was given by the United States fairly recently to supply food,” Trump said. “As far as the rest of it, I really can’t say. That’s going to be pretty much up to Israel.”
Reports of a potential complete Israeli takeover of the Gaza Strip have been growing despite international outrage over the worsening hunger crisis and calls for a ceasefire.
