Republican state Senate candidate John Roberts has raised more than $100,000 in just three weeks following the launch of his campaign for Alabama Senate District 2, according to figures released by the campaign on Monday.

Roberts, a Huntsville businessman and political newcomer, reported raising $101,675 from 89 individual donors in the 21 days following his announcement. The campaign says the support demonstrates growing momentum and enthusiasm across the district.

“I am honored that our campaign has generated this kind of excitement about the future of Senate District 2 and Alabama,” Roberts said. “We have received contributions from citizens and businesses, which shows our vision and message resonates with voters in every demographic.”
