AN artificial intelligence-powered nurse robot that patrols through hallways and even distributes medicine to patients has been unveiled.
The robot with an eerie face is set to replace hospital workers by tracking vitals while always keeping the same bizarre smile.
Intended to battle future healthcare crises, Nurabot was built by the electronics brand Foxconn and AI computing company NVIDIA .
The machine has been designed to combat burnout.
The idea is to provide “better patient care” by allowing the machine to take over some tasks such as ward patrols, visitor guidance and medicine or specimen deliveries.
By doing so, they allow nurses more time to focus on other tasks.
The Nurabot has a special tray installed inside of it, as well as eyes and a smile visible on its screen.
