LONG BEACH – An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of shooting at another man and an investigation of the shooting is underway.

Long Beach Police Department officers responded at approximately 6:49 p.m. Monday to the 2300 block Long Beach Boulevard regarding a shots-fired call, police said.

When they arrived at the scene, officers learned the suspect, identified as Brylen Morales of Los Angeles, had fired a shot in the direction of another man, who returned fire.

Officers located Morales nearby and arrested him, police said. Morales was booked into the Long Beach City Jail for assault with a deadly weapon. His bail was set at $1 million.
