U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville, Alabama’s leading candidate to become governor in 2026, has raised more than $5.2 million since announcing his bid in May, according to his most recent campaign finance reports.
Tuberville received about a dozen major contributions, defined by state law as more than $20,00, in July. The largest were $100,000 from Community Health Systems in Antioch, Tenn., and $50,000 from Alabama-based coal producer Drummond Co.
Tuberville raised more than $722,000 last month in smaller contributions and spent about $260,000. He ended the month with $4.7 million on hand.
He’s spent about $482,000 to date.
Tuberville doesn’t have a GOP opponent in the race, at least not one raising funds after he effectively cleared the field with his name recognition and fundraising power.
