(NewsNation) — President Donald Trump on Wednesday is expected to announce that Apple is adding another $100 billion to its domestic investments, a White House official confirmed to NewsNation.

Apple's newest monetary move adds onto its already promised $500 billion investment earlier this year, bringing the tech giant's U.S. investment up to $600 billion over the next four years, as first reported by Bloomberg.

"Today’s announcement with Apple is another win for our manufacturing industry that will simultaneously help reshore the production of critical components to protect America’s economic and national security," White House assistant press secretary Taylor Rogers said in a statement to NewsNation.

Trump is also expected to announce the creation of the American Manufacturing Program
