(QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- Panthers cornerback Jaycee Horn will not participate in Wednesday’s practice after being involved in a car accident earlier in the day, the team announced.

According to a Panthers spokesman, Horn was driving alone when the accident happened at the intersection of Mint and Morehead Streets in Charlotte on his way to the team facility.

The Panthers confirmed that no one involved in the accident was taken to the hospital by emergency medical personnel.

Horn was evaluated by the team’s medical staff following the incident, and the decision was made for him to sit out of Wednesday's joint practice with the Cleveland Browns.
