St. Louisan Napheesa Collier has been named the Kia WNBA Western Conference Player of the Month after a dominant performance in July.

The former Incarnate Word Academy All-American led the Minnesota Lynx to a 9-3 record in July. In those 12 games, she averaged 23.1 points, 6.9. rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1.9 blocks and 1.7 steals while shooting 55 percent from the field.

Collier was also named the Most Valuable Player of the WNBA’s All-Star Game on July 19 in Indianapolis after scoring a record 36 points to lead her team to victory.

For the season, Collier is averaging 23.5 points a game, which leads the WNBA. She is the only player in the league to be in the top five of scoring, blocks, steals and field goal percentage. She is averaging 7.5 rebounds and 1.6 blocks while shooting 53 percent
