Chicago Fire FC II has been recognized as the MLS NEXT Pro Team of Matchweek 21 after defeating Columbus Crew 2 with a score of 6-1 at SeatGeek Stadium on Sunday. This win follows another high-scoring match, in which Chicago Fire FC II achieved a 9-2 victory over New York Red Bulls II on July 27. The team set a new MLS NEXT Pro record for most goals scored by a single club across two consecutive matches, totaling 15 goals.

Midfielder Trip Fleming started the scoring early, connecting with winger Claudio Cassano in the second minute. Cassano then scored his eighth goal of the season before Fleming added his second goal shortly after halftime. Forward Dean Boltz contributed to the tally, and substitute midfielder Harold Osorio closed out the game with two more goals.
