Michael Masucci, Chelsea’s deputy fire chief, was placed on paid administrative leave after he was arrested in Nashville on Saturday, according to a statement from the City of Chelsea.

“Earlier this week, the City of Chelsea was informed that Deputy Fire Chief Mike Masucci was arrested in Nashville, TN, on misdemeanor and felony charges,” a city spokesperson said in a statement shared with Boston.com

Masucci being placed on administrative leave was “a neutral procedural action that allows for a full and fair review while preserving the due process rights afforded to all public employees,” the spokesperson said.
