Owners of original Sonos Roam speakers have reported overheating in the device.
According to a Bloomberg report, owners of the original Sonos Roam have been experiencing overheating around the device’s USB-C port. Sonos has acknowledged the issue but has not taken any action to recall the devices.
In a statement shared with Engadget , the company says it has been closely monitoring the issue. Though the company has acknowledged this, the incident rate has remained very low. Additionally, Sonos mentioned environmental conditions as a contributing factor to the issue.
Despite these points, Sonos has taken steps to further reduce the likelihood of overheating through “software updates and accessory improvements.”
