NORTHFIELD — A 20-year-old Linwood man was arrested Wednesday after he allegedly eluded police while riding an electric bike two months ago on New Road, police said.

Joseph Griffin was charged with eluding a law enforcement officer, as well as traffic citations for careless driving, reckless driving and other offenses.

Patrolman Christian Gansert saw approximately six people riding dirt bikes and electric bikes in a reckless manner at 9:09 p.m. June 12, police said on Facebook . The group was traveling north in the middle of New Road, performing wheelies, swerving into the road and riding on the sidewalk.
