Quarterback Darian Mensah will wear a No. 10 jersey in the 2025 Duke football season, the same number he wore at Tulane prior to his transfer to the Blue Devils in December 2024.

Mensah will assume starting quarterback duties for the Blue Devils following the transfer of former quarterback Maalik Murphy, and is expected to fit well into offensive coordinator Jonathan Brewer's fast-paced and pass-heavy offensive scheme.

Mensah is one of many new faces for the Duke football program as it enters its second season under the helm of Manny Diaz. The Blue Devils brought in 28 signees from its 2025 recruiting class – Diaz's first – along with nine additions from the transfer portal. Duke is set to return 14 starters from last year's 9-4 squad that made a trip to the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl.
