Duke football transfer quarterback Darian Mensah kept himself busy this offseason.

The Blue Devils' new signal-caller out of Tulane spent part of his summer training with Cam Ward, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. He also spent time working with Ward’s quarterback coach, Darrell Colbert Jr. of Select QB Athletics, who also trains Shedeur Sanders and Kyron Drones.

"I'm just always looking for ways to improve my game," Mensah said in an Aug. 5 episode of Inside ACCess. "I think (Colbert) is one of the best quarterback coaches in the country so I definitely wanted to go work with him. Worked out with him and some of our receivers, a great time down in Tampa."
