One of the first things a visitor to Bow & Stern’s Amazing Brentwood location sees is the mermaid.
Greeting visitors, the six-foot bronze statue is a striking adornment to the seafood brand’s third location.
“It was inspired by a restaurant in London, Sexy Fish,” co-owner Jordan Smith said. “That place does a lot with mermaids, and those sculptures are really cool. We thought, ‘Hey, we want something like that — an Instagrammable entrance.’ When people walk in, it should feel like an experience.”
That Smith and co-owner Adam Crosariol made a research trip to far-flung seafood restaurants shows how determined they were to evolve the Bow & Stern brand with the new location.
