Baltimore isn’t exactly rolling in dough, but it has enough funds to purchase roller skates for one recreation center.

The city’s Board of Estimates on Wednesday approved a request to spend up to $95,425 to buy roller skates for the Shake and Bake Family Fun Center on Pennsylvania Avenue.

The five-member panel approved the expenditure with no discussion as part of its routine agenda.

According to background materials presented to the board, the city received four bids from companies vying for a “Goods & Services Contract” to provide the roller skates to the city’s Department of Recreation and Parks.
