WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. (WETM) — NASCAR/DGM Racing Xfinity driver, Ross Chastain, is set to make appearances in Schuyler County during race weekend to remind people of a safe practice while on the roads, the New York State Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee (NYSGTSC) announced in a release.
Ross Chastain and the NYSGTSC are joining forces to remind New Yorkers of the importance of wearing a seatbelt while driving, the release explained. Happening on Thursday, August 7, from 9 a.m. to noon, and additionally from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Chastain is set to meet with fans and sign autographs, along with promoting this safe driving practice.
More specifically, the meet and greet is part of the “Protect Your Melon” campaign, which highlights the importance of wearing a seatbelt, the release emphasized.
