WASHINGTON, DC — U.S. REP. MARJORIE TAYLOR GREENE requested in a letter Monday that the seven-year prison sentence of disgraced Queens ex-Representative George Santos be commuted , arguing that the lengthy term represented “a grave injustice,” AP reports. The plea, sent to a Justice Department attorney, came less than two weeks after Santos — a fraudster, thief and Trump supporter — began his sentence.

“While his crimes warrant punishment, many of my colleagues who I serve with have committed far worse offenses than Mr. Santos yet have faced zero criminal charges,” Greene, a Georgia Republican, wrote.
