Rides, music, 4-H competitions ... and a catfish strip chow-down?
All of these events — and more — are a part of the 2025 Maryland State Fair. The fair will run for three weekends, starting Aug. 21st.
Besides classic activities like concerts and thrill rides, the fair is bringing back the popular Mullet Madness competition. To participate, competitors must submit an online application before Aug. 24. The competition itself will be held on Sept. 7th.
For new attractions, visitors can meet the AmirrorCAN MEN. These patriotic performers will walk around the fairgrounds in custom-made mirror suits.
Seafood enthusiasts can participate in the Battle of the Bay — an eating competition where participants devour mounds of blue catfish strips for 10 minutes.
And for those who w
