Who says a nickel won’t buy much these days?

Oklahomans can see a famous nickel valued at $3 million and more than $100 million of other historic, rare coins and currency at the World’s Fair of Money in the Oklahoma City Convention Center , August 19 through 23. Visitors can also discover what their old coins and paper money may be worth.

“This is a family-friendly, educational event sponsored by the nonprofit American Numismatic Association ,” Thomas J. Uram, president of the 25,000-member organization, said.

“Money is history you can hold in your hands, and we are proud to display for the first time in Oklahoma more than $100 million of numismatic treasures for the public to enjoy,” he said.
