Two young children were savagely attacked by pet dogs in South Yorkshire within hours, leaving local police urging families to get vigilant.
On August 4, a seven-year-old boy was mauled by his family’s registered XL Bully in their kitchen, suffering serious neck injuries that needed surgery. Just hours later, a nine-year-old boy was bitten by the family’s Shih Tzu, with wounds to his ear requiring hospital treatment.
Both dogs were seized by South Yorkshire Police, who dealt with 15 emergency dog-related calls that da
