The London Majors have to put one more puzzle piece in place before the launch of the Intercounty Baseball League playoffs.

“We’re trying to figure out who the other starting pitcher is going to be,” co-owner and manager Roop Chanderdat said. “I moved Jose Arias to the bullpen and he’s been phenomenal there. We’ve tried (Colby) Ring and (Londoner Alex) Springer and are still looking to secure someone in that spot.

“He doesn’t have to give us a ton – three minimum good innings and we have enough guys to cover off.”

The first two outings of any series are on lock. Victor Payano and Travis Keys have been two of the most reliable moundsmen this summer.

But there are only a few auditions left for the solid third musketeer. The Majors have five more games starting Thursday in Kitchener.
