Rumors of a serious injury to LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier at a closed practice Wednesday took off on the internet, creating fear of the worst within the Tigers' fanbase.
Nussmeier did not suffer a major injury or have to be carted off the field, multiple sources told The Advocate. One source added it was "just a tweak" and Nussmeier was walking on his own.
According to On3 , LSU coach Brian Kelly told Nussmeier to sit out for the rest of practice as a precaution. LSU has a recovery day Thursday, giving Nussmeier an extra day to rest before the Tigers return to the field Friday.
