COLUMBIA, Mo. (KCTV) - The defending national champions will be coming to Mizzou for the first game of SEC play this season, the league announced Wednesday.

The full 18-game SEC conference men’s basketball schedule was shared Wednesday, with Mizzou opening play on Saturday, Jan. 3 with a home game against Florida. Last year, Mizzou was the only team to beat the Gators in Gainesville.

Along with the opener against Florida, Mizzou hosts Auburn, Georgia, Oklahoma, Mississippi State, Texas, Vanderbilt, Tennessee and Arkansas at Mizzou Arena.

Mizzou goes on the road for games against Kentucky, Ole Miss, LSU, Alabama, South Carolina, Texas A&M, Arkansas, Mississippi State and Oklahoma.

Finalized game dates and tip off times will be released at a later date, Mizzou said.
