Authorities have launched a homicide investigation after a pregnant mother and her 3-year-old were found dead in an Indiana home.

Karon J. Clay, 33, and her son Karter K. Clay were found deceased in a Greenwood, Ind., home on Monday, Aug. 4, by authorities responding to a welfare check, 13 News , The Daily Journal and FOX 59 reported, citing the Greenwood Police Department.
