Florida Highway Patrol troopers made quite a discovery after they were able to stop a fleeing driver on Tuesday, officials said.
The incident happened in Polk County when the driver fled and tried to take out troopers, the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles said.
Troopers were able to stop and arrest the driver after a successful PIT maneuver, then found the motherlode inside the vehicle: 150 pounds of marijuana and $40,000.
A photo posted to Facebook by authorities shows the bags of pot piled up on the hood of two FHP cruisers.
"This incident underscores the dangers troopers face every day to protect our communities and keep our roads safe," the post read.
