CATAWBA COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- Carl Lloyd Almany III, 31, of Claremont, will spend six to nine years in prison following his conviction for property crimes and admission of habitual felon status during Catawba County Superior Court Tuesday.

Almany will serve his period of incarceration in the custody of the North Carolina Division of Adult Corrections. It will begin at the conclusion of a sentence he is currently serving.

Almany’s sentence length was enhanced by prior felony convictions for possession of stolen firearm (October 2018) in Gaston County, financial card fraud (June 2016) in Catawba County and larceny (June 2014) in Lincoln County.
