PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - The man who reportedly drew a swastika on the door frame of a Northeast Portland business was identified and arrested, according to Portland Police.

The arrest was based on community tips after the incident happened on June 14.

The man was identified as 38-year-old Joseph Thompson and has been in jail on separate charges since early July. The separate crimes he was imprisoned for are theft, bias crime, and drug possession.

On Wednesday, Thompson was charged with second-degree bias crime.

At around 1:30 a.m., on June 14, police say Thompson went to Pulse Wellness Cooperative in Northeast Portland and vandalized the business. The suspect left a hateful message on the property, as they drew a swastika on the door frame of the business before walking away.
