The Colorado Springs Police Department arrested a convicted felon on weapons charges during the execution of a search warrant Tuesday in the 2300 block of North Nevada Avenue, according to an online blotter entry.

CSPD said it recovered three handguns including a Glock with a device making it capable of automatic gunfire. According to CSPD, Jaime Gallegos-Payne is a convicted felon who pleaded guilty to robbery and is prohibited from possessing firearms.

Police identified Gallegos-Payne as a suspect after arresting a juvenile in early July in connection with a series of auto thefts and burglaries, according to the blotter entry.

While executing the search warrant CSPD said it also found items recently stolen from a marijuana dispensary.
