JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — An engineer with the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department was arrested Monday for petit theft following allegations he stole from a Winn-Dixie checkout line dozens of times, a Jacksonville Sheriff's Office arrest report states.

On July 29, the report states a complainant called police to report Brian Albright, 51, for stealing from three different Winn-Dixie grocery stores on 27 different occasions. The alleged thefts occurred between March 11, 2025 and July 18, 2025.

The report states that the complainant provided police video evidence and receipts for each incident.

Investigators reviewed the evidence and said Albright "purposefully and intentionally" did not scan some items while completing his purchases. The report states he stole more than 100 items from the
