An Odessa woman was arrested on three outstanding warrants and a new felony charge Wednesday after a standoff with the Odessa Police Department.
According to OPD, officers received a disturbance call from the 2600 block of San Carlos Terrace around 3:15 p.m. and when they arrived, a 39-year-old woman told them Nohemi Medina, 40, had choked her, causing minor injuries.
When officers tried to talk to Medina, she barricaded herself and refused to comply with officers’ commands, OPD officials said. Eventually she was taken into custody without incident.
Medina was arrested on outstanding warrants for burglary, assault on a peace officer and criminal trespass. She was also booked into the Ector County jail on suspicion of assault family/household member with a prior conviction. She’s being h
