A couple received the surprise of their life when they delivered their baby girl in the parking lot of a gas station in Ontario.

Sergio and Ashley Soto welcomed baby Leia early Wednesday at a Mobil gas station on Euclid Avenue while they were on the way to the hospital. The dramatic delivery happened after 2 a.m. when Ashley felt severe contractions.

“Around 2 in the morning, she woke me up and she was like, ‘The baby’s coming. We've got to go,” Sergio said. “She said, ‘I think we can make it to St. Jude’s in Fullerton,’ and unfortunately, we were going down the 60 and right before Euclid, the baby decided she was ready to come out.”

That’s when Sergio pulled into the relatively empty parking lot of the gas station
