MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- According to the Milwaukee Fire Department (MFD), one person is dead and two others, including a MPD officer, are hurt after a car fire near 19th and Hampton earlier this evening, Aug. 6.

CBS 58 reporters observed the car, not on fire, up against a building with noticeable fire damage with dozens of police and fire vehicles on scene.

MFD stated that the police officer was hurt while trying to pull someone out of the car.

The fire is under investigation, and the extent of damage to the building sustained by the fire is unknown.
