SUPERIOR, Wis. (Northern News Now) - 80 years ago, the United States dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima, putting an end to World War II.
Wednesday night, Superior held a remembrance ceremony.

Superior Mayor Jim Paine attended, sharing his thoughts on the use of nuclear weapons.
“You are not free of war when guns stop shooting. You are not free of the atomic bomb when the buildings stop collapsing, when the houses stop burning, it’s not over, it never ends for the victim,” said Mayor Paine.
