Gov. Patrick Morrisey claims he cares about public participation. We’ve never heard from him.

As a full-time resident of Tucker County, I urge Morrisey to respect the voices of West Virginians who do not want a massive power plant and big-tech data center complex in our beautiful, rural community.

In April, a Virginia-based company called Fundamental Data applied for an air quality permit for a 1,600 megawatt natural gas- and diesel-fired power plant. The plant would be built just 1 mile from our local elementary and middle schools and within 2 miles of 90% of the homes and businesses in Davis and Thomas.
