First blood was drawn at Wednesday's joint practice between the New England Patriots and Washington Commanders , and it wasn't from who you would expect.
According to MassLive's Chris Mason, via Boston Herald's Andrew Callahan, Patriots coach Mike Vrabel jumped into the fray after rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson went to the ground, and a scrum ensued. Rookie left tackle Will Campbell also jumped into the action.
Vrabel reportedly came up with blood on his right cheek after the incident.
The Patriots are holding a joint practice with the Commanders in Foxborough, and things got heated on the practice field. Teams try to avoid such incidents, but it isn't out of the ordinary to see two competitive teams go after one another in such a setting.
